Privacy Policy for TaskFlow - Smart Tasks

At TaskFlow - Smart Tasks ("we," "us," or "our"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our TaskFlow - Smart Tasks mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

The App is designed to help you manage tasks and organize your schedule. We collect the following types of information:

• User-Provided Data: Information you enter into the App, such as task titles, descriptions, due dates, priorities, tags, and reminder settings. This data is stored locally on your device using Core Data.
• Settings Data: Preferences you set in the App, such as default sorting (e.g., by due date or priority) and filtering options (e.g., all, completed, incomplete, or tagged tasks). These settings are stored locally in UserDefaults.
• Notifications: If you enable notifications, the App schedules local notifications for task reminders based on your specified times. These notifications are managed by the iOS system and stored locally.

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or other identifiers unless explicitly provided by you (e.g., in task descriptions). We do not collect or process sensitive personal data, location data, or analytics data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to provide the App’s functionality, including:

• Creating, displaying, and managing tasks and their associated details (e.g., due dates, priorities, tags).
• Applying your preferred sorting and filtering settings to display tasks in the App.
• Scheduling and delivering local notifications for task reminders.

Your data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties, except as described below (e.g., future features).

3. Data Storage and Security

All data you enter into the App (tasks, tags, settings) is stored locally on your device using Apple’s Core Data framework and UserDefaults. If you enable iCloud or other backup services on your device, this data may be included in your iCloud or device backups, subject to Apple’s security measures.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, such as secure coding practices and compliance with Apple’s guidelines. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

4. App Groups for Future Features

The App uses an App Group to enable potential future features, such as a widget to display tasks on your home screen. If implemented, the widget would access the same locally stored task data and settings via the App Group container. No data is shared externally, and access is limited to the App and its extensions.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not currently use third-party services for analytics, advertising, or data processing. Links to our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions (accessible via the About section) are displayed in a WebView within the App, which loads content from our website. These web pages do not collect personal information.

If we introduce third-party services in the future (e.g., analytics or cloud sync), we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain your consent as required.

6. Your Choices and Control

You have full control over the data you enter into the App:

• Delete Tasks: You can delete tasks or tags at any time within the App, permanently removing them from local storage.
• Notifications: You can disable notifications in the App’s settings or your device’s Settings app.
• Reset Settings: You can change or reset sorting and filtering preferences in the Settings section.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data, unless backed up via iCloud or other services.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data, please contact us to have it removed.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App’s functionality or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the Effective Date and, if applicable, prompting you within the App. Please review this policy periodically.
